Ready to plan your next adventure? Book your residential trip at Waddow Activity Centre today and give your group the chance to explore, connect and grow in one of the UK's most inspiring countryside settings. Whether you're organising a school residential, Duke of Edinburgh expedition or Girlguiding camp, we offer the perfect blend of outdoor adventure, comfortable accomodation and tailored support.
Upon arrival at Waddow Hall, your group will be greeted by our activity team and shown to your private base room, available throughout your stay for meals, storage, and school activities. Staff will receive welcome packs and schedules, and we’ll break the ice with the children before the adventures begin. After lunch, instructors lead your first activities, with juice, fruit, tea, and coffee provided at breaks. Dinner is served in the main hall, offering a chance to meet other schools while seated together as a group. Evenings include an energetic session followed by hot chocolate to wind down. The next day begins with a cooked breakfast and more activities, ending with lunch, a thank-you presentation, a souvenir badge for each child, and time to share feedback—or even book your next visit!
Evenings packed with fun: campfires, night walks, team challenges
Stunning accommodation and home-cooked meals
Curriculum-linked activities supporting PSHE, PE & personal development
On arrival our team will meet you in the coach park and show you to our purpose-built permanent marquee – this will be your base for the day, somewhere to meet and re-group, eat your packed lunches and store bags. There’s also a permanent tea and coffee station for the teachers – we know we need to keep you running at full capacity too!
Most of our activity sessions run for 90 minutes, so how much you can pack into the day depends on your transport arrangements. Most schools opt for one session before lunch, then two afterwards, with a short break in between, meaning a departure time of around 4.30pm. Shorter, or longer days can of course be arranged to suit your school. We are extremely flexible and will work with you to facilitate your arrival and departure needs.
